Remove unattended access

In this article:

If you no longer need an unattended device, we recommend that you delete it.

There are two ways to remove unattended access from a device:

  • Uninstall the SetMe Unattended app at the remote end.
  • Delete the device via the unattended list. This can be done by either the device manager or an administrator.

When someone uninstalls the SetMe Unattended app from their device, it will remain in the unattended list with a Revoked status. To restore unattended access on that device, you will need to reinstall it. After reinstalling, a new device will appear in your unattended list.

You can restrict uninstalling the SetMe Unattended app from the remote device by using the setting Pin (prevent remote user from removing unattended access).

Removing a device from the unattended list will uninstall the SetMe Unattended app from that device. If the device is offline, the Unattended app will be uninstalled once the internet connection is restored. The device will be taken off the list for all users who had access to it.

After 30 days from the subscription's expiration, all unattended devices associated with that subscription will be automatically removed.
