Set up unattended access
You can use one of the following methods to set up unattended access and connect to a device at any time, even when no one's present at the remote end:
Both of the following methods require administrative privileges.
- During a support session started using a Client ID. This is the most convenient way to install unattended access without having physical access to the remote device.
- By running a custom unattended access installer. This method works best when you need to deploy unattended access on a large number of devices using the same settings. You can run the installer multiple times on different remote devices.
Unattended access does not require any adjustments to the network configuration, such as opening inbound or forwarding ports, or creating tunnels. The remote device will connect to the SetMe server through HTTPS, much like a standard browser application.
To find recently added unattended devices, you can sort and group the unattended list using the Installed on column.
Any user who installed unattended access with a custom installer or during a support session becomes the unattended device's manager. At a later point, the manager (or an administrator) can transfer management rights to another user.
After successful installation, the SetMe Unattended application will appear on the remote device.
